The concept is simple. One can multiply the number of tubes they have by trading, and without spending a dime. It's dawned on us how often we see in the deviation comments where stock is listed "all other stock is my own". That means that most of us have private stock that we've gotten by tubing our own photos. As maniper's we all tube, we just don't all have a place to share our tubes, or we don't want to just give them away.

In this economy especially, most of us are feeling a crunch or even worse. So many are struggling to pay for the necessities, that purchasing other things, especially art supplies, is out of the question.

It will of course take time to build up a good amount of tubes you can choose from, but the more people that add tubes to trade, the more fun and diversified it will become, and in trading tubes no one is left feeling they got nothing in return.

Each artist has the choice of how they want to be compensated for a tube they list as available. You do this in the artists comments. You aren't actually posting a tube, you're posting a heavily watermarked pic in your scraps, and then is posted in our gallery after you send us a link, and you trade with others.

Those interested in a trade will contact you by note, not the club. Once you've come to an agreement on the trade you send the tubes to each other. There are several methods of sending tubes, pngs are quite easily sent as an attachment in an email, or if you have winzip with password protect, you could post on dA, or you could send from a place such as yousendit.



All Contributing Artists Please Read
The tubes you provide must be Exclusive Stock, and not available to the public as a whole. They can be given by you elsewhere as gifts or as prizes, but cannot be available for download to everyone. No one will trade you for something that everyone else can receive for free. If your tube is downloadable on dA, it must be password protected.

Please think about your rules. If you place restrictions on the tubes you offer here, such as you must ask for permission to use outside of dA, or have restrictions on what type of art can be made from your tubes, it's very unlikely that others will trade with you. Think about this: Why would anyone give you tubes to use in a commercial project, or offsite, or in any type of art you wish to use it in, if you aren't willing to do the same for them? Keep your rules the same on all of your items, because others will most likely not read each time. If your rules exclude certain types of art being made, OR if others must ask for your permission to use in commercial projects or offsite, possibly *TUBE-TRADERS isn't the place you should be offering them. In a sense you are being paid for your tubes by the artists that you trade with, so please be as kind to them, and as fair with them as they are to you.

Attention 2D Tube Artists You must own the photo that the tube was made from, or it must belong to a friend or family member who has given you permission to tube and to distribute, or the photo must be copyright free.
If you are submitting model stock, you must have a model release in your possession for the tube.

Tube-Traders does not take responsibility for searching out the ownership of any photos used, and if you are found to be in violation of any copyright rules your tubes will be removed and you will no longer be a member.

You cannot just go to stockxchng or other sites to obtain a photo to tube. MAKE SURE the photos are your own OR copyright free.


How to Submit:
1. Place a jpeg preview of what you wish to post in your scraps on your account. Be sure to include your rules for use in the artists comments. The tubes MUST be EXCLUSIVE!! If not, why trade, when anyone can download for free? If your tube is downloadable it must be password protected!

2. Send *TUBE-TRADERS a note with the subject line SUBMIT and provide us a link to the piece you're wanting in the gallery. IMPORTANT Along with the link, SEND US a copy of your artist's comments EACH TIME.

3. Keep a .png file in your own files, so that if someone wishes to trade with you, you can send them a .png file.

4. Please send only THREE submissions per note. More than that, we get a little confused.

5. When naming your submission, remember we have to add your name to the title, so please keep it short. From now on if your title is too long - we'll just have to drop your name.


How to Trade
Look through the gallery, and if you see something you like, note the person who posted and tell them you'd like to trade. They will then look through the items you've posted, to see what you have to offer.

To make it easier to trade with other artists, once you reach 10 items, you will be given your own folder. That number will later increase to 25 items, so that we don't have folders with just a couple of items.. Those without the needed number to have their own folder will be placed in "Other Artists" and your items will be grouped together.

COMO UNIRSE, ENVIAR RECORTES Y NEGOCIAR

El concepto es simple. Uno puede multiplicar la cantidad de tubes que se tienen (stock aislado, con fondo transparente, listo para usar) mediante el intercambio. Hemos visto en varias oportunidades obras con comentarios donde parte del stock se describe diciendo “el resto del stock es de mi propiedad”. Esto significa que la mayoría de nosotros tenemos stock privado que hemos creado recortando y aislando nuestras propias fotos. Todos los manipuladores recortamos, pero no todos tenemos un lugar donde compartir nuestros recortes, y tampoco queremos regalarlos así como así.


En la situación económica actual, la mayoría sentimos la crisis. Muchos luchan para poder pagar por las necesidades básicas y comprar otras cosas, especialmente materiales para el arte, se vuelve imposible.


Sin duda tomará tiempo generar una buena cantidad de recortes entre los cuales elegir, pero cuanto más artistas envíen recortes para intercambiar, más divertido y diversificado se volverá. Además, en el intercambio de recortes nadie queda con el sentimiento de que no ha recibido nada a cambio.


Cada artista puede elegir cómo desea ser recompensado por un recorte que figure como “disponible”. Esto se estipula en los comentarios del artista. Lo que subes no es el recorte en sí, sino una foto con marcas de agua visibles que puede ser enviada al sector de “scraps” (“borradores” ). Una vez que nos has enviado el vínculo, esta foto es publicada en nuestra galería y puedes intercambiarla con otras personas.


Quien esté interesado en comerciar te contactará directamente a ti (y no al Club) mediante una nota. Una vez que hayas llegado a un acuerdo para el intercambio, se envían los recortes mutuamente. Hay muchas formas de enviar los recortes. Los formatos .png se envían fácilmente como adjunto a un email, o si tienes WinZip con protección de contraseña, puedes subirlos a dA, o puedes enviarlos desde otro sitio como “yousendit”.


Todos los Artistas Contribuyentes – Favor Leer
Los recortes que proporcionas tienen que ser Stock Exclusivo y no pueden estar disponibles para el público en general. Pueden ser entregados por ti en otros lugares como obsequio o premio, pero no pueden estar disponibles para ser descargados por todos. Nadie negociará contigo por algo que todos los demás pueden obtener gratuitamente. Si tu recorte tiene opción de descarga en dA, debe estar protegido por una contraseña.


Por favor, considera tus reglas. Piensa en esto: ¿ Por qué alguien te daría recortes para utilizar en un proyecto comercial, o fuera de dA, o en cualquier tipo de arte en el cual desees emplearlo, si tú no haces lo mismo? Mantén las mismas reglas para todos tus “tubes”, porque los demás probablemente no las leerán cada vez. Si tus reglas excluyen determinados tipos de arte O si los demás deben solicitar tu permiso para utilizarlos en proyectos comerciales o fuera de dA, posiblemente *TUBE-TRADERS no es el lugar adecuado para ofrecerlos. En cierta forma, los artistas con los que negocias te están pagando por tus recortes, de modo que sé amable y tan honesto con ellos como ellos lo son contigo.

Atención Artistas de Recortes 2D Es necesario que la foto de la cual hiciste el recorte te pertenezca a ti, a un amigo o a un familiar que te haya autorizado para recortarla y distribuirla, o la foto debe estar libre de derechos de autor. Si estás enviando stock de modelos, debes tener en tu poder la autorización de los/las modelos para hacerlo antes de enviar el recorte.


Tube-Traders no se responsabilizará por controlar la propiedad de ninguna foto utilizada, y si encontramos que has violado cualquier regla de derecho de autor, tus recortes serán retirados y ya no serás miembro.


No puedes ir simplemente a stockxchng u otras páginas para obtener una foto para recortar. ASEGÚRATE de que las fotos sean de tu propiedad …O… libres de derechos de autor.


Cómo Enviar:
1. Coloca una vista previa en formato jpeg de lo que deseas enviar en tus “scraps” (“borradores” ) o en tu galería. Asegúrate de agregar tus reglas de uso en el sector destinado a los comentarios del artista. ¡¡¡Los recortes DEBEN ser EXCLUSIVOS!!! Si no, ¿ para qué negociar, cuando cualquiera puede descargarlo gratis? Si tu recorte es descargable, ¡debe estar protegido por contraseña!.

2. Envía una nota a *TUBE-TRADERS con la referencia SUBMIT y proporciónanos un vínculo a la obra que deseas que figure en la galería. . IMPORTANTE Junto con el vínculo, ENVÍANOS CADA VEZ una copia de tus comentarios de artista.

3. Mantén un archivo .png en tu poder de modo que si alguien desea negociar contigo, tú puedas enviarles el archivo .png.

4. Por favor, envía solamente TRES recortes por nota. Si envías más, nos resulta un poco confuso.

5. Al darle un nombre a tu recorte, recuerda que debemos agregar tu nombre a ese título, así que mantelo corto. Desde ahora en adelante, si el título es muy largo – deberemos remover tu nombre del recorte.


Cómo Negociar
Revisa la galería, y si ves algo que te guste envía una nota al propietario/a y dile que desearías negociar. Ellos mirarán los artículos que tú has enviado para ver qué tienes para ofrecer.

Para que el negocio con otros artistas sea más sencillo, cuando tengas 10 artículos te daremos tu propia carpeta. Ese número luego se incrementará a 25 para no tener carpetas con tan solo un par de artículos. Quienes no tengan suficiente cantidad como para obtener su propia carpeta, serán colocados en la categoría “Otros Artistas” y tus artículos serán agrupados ahí.
